Program slow to open for everyone but me, Posted 01-12-2006, 05:47 PM #1
I've noticed when an employee of mine logs into ManageMore, it takes a bit before their toolbar comes up and stuff like that. But when I log in, it comes up almost immediately. I asked them how long this has been going on, they said it has been a long time, they thought it should just act like that. Is there something wrong that I need to change? We're all on XP Pro and running on individual workstations all getting the program from the same server. Thanks!

Hi Brian!

Double check to see if auditing is turned on in security. To get there, click on Lists ... Human Resources ... Employee List. Then click on the security icon. After logging into security, click on File ... Global Security Options. Then click the Auditing tab to see what is set up there. If auditing is on, turn it off, then have your users try again to see if the problem persists or is solved.

Are the users that are logging in and getting a slow down are they connecting from a remote location or at your location. If they are at a different location you may want to make sure of the connection speed.

We are all on a local area network, so we should all be having the same performance.

Besides, I looked at the audit and it was turned on, and I turned it off and now everyone isback to the same speed.
